SUPER-butlers are making as much as $AUD225,000 (£110,000) a year, as London-based training academys ship half of their graduates overseas to China and the Persian Gulf.
The United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia is the biggest markets for butlers, hiring about 30 per cent of British butlers, British Butler Academy’s Sara Vestin Rahmani told BBC.
While butlers in the United Kingdom can expect to make between $AUD81,000 (£40,000) to $AUD102,500 (£50,000) a year, the pay is much higher in the Persian Gulf, where pay averages around $AUD133,000 (£65,000) a year.
The pay packet steadily increases when the butlers have references from fancy hotels, royal families and the like.

These ‘super-butlers’ make around $AUD225,000 (£110,000) a year, according to Rahmani.
And the call for butlers has grown — in 2014, Rahmani placed 30 ‘super-butlers’, which doubled in 2015.
British Butler Institute principal Gary Williams told BBC that around 350 to 400 butlers are trained each year in the UK, with only half staying to work in the region.
Despite the perception that butlers are older men, the average age of a new butler is 41, and 40 per cent of students at the British Butler Academy are women.
Many women choose to work as lady’s maids and personal assistants to women in the Persian Gulf.
