Kim Kardashian convinced Kanye West to do SNL performance after he had 'meltdown'

Kanye West reportedly has a 'meltdown' just before he was set to take the stage and perform on Saturday Night Live over the weekend.

The rapper and fashion designer, who just released his new album The Life of Pablo on Tidal, almost did not perform according to a source, who said he had to be convinced to take the stage.

'Just moments leading into the live show, and during the live show, Kanye had a meltdown and threatened to walk off,' a source told Page Six.

On Monday Kanye went on another of his Twitter rants, asking  'Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, New York Times' to 'not comment on black music anymore,' calling Puff Daddy 'the most important cultural figure in my life,' and saying he 'don't understand what it means to be the great grandson of ex slaves.'

He also said that the 'system is designed for colored people to fail and one of our only voices is music.'

Kanye revealed during that same rant that his album will never go on sale and will only ever be available on Tidal, the digital music service which is subscription based and owned by his friend Jay Z and other music artists.
