The Devon-born star revealed last year that she had decided to leave ITVBe reality show TOWIE after 16 series of drama.
At the time, she said she was quitting after finding it increasingly difficult to juggle filming with her expanding business empire.
A source close to the show told the MailOnline: 'Lauren has decided to leave as her business ventures are demanding too much of her time.
'Her various businesses are doing really well and she's expanding internationally and just can't afford to give the time that TOWIE requires.'
Mini mogul: The Devon-raised star has been focused on expanding her fashion and hair businesses since leaving the reality show
Lauren was already a successful DJ before joining the cast and her Hair Rehab London company is going from strength to strength, having already been sold on the high street and now internationally.
Speaking of her decision to quit, Lauren told MailOnline: 'I kind of had no mates left. The last series was not a fun series for me and I think the fun kind of went from TOWIE for me, and it made my decision a lot easier.
'I think it was just the right time, I had been thinking about it for a while.
'I've got a lot of things going on on the business side and it was getting to a point where that was getting affected as I was having to miss meetings if I was filming abroad.'
