Shaun Murphy was left red faced after losing to Luca Brecel at the Welsh Open - courtesy of potting the cueball moments after thinking he had taken a commanding lead in their third round clash.
The former world champion was leading the fourth frame 58-55 when he finely cut the black into the middle pocket to seemingly take a 3-1 lead - only for the cueball to bounce off five cushions before finding the bottom pocket and hand the frame to the Belgian.
Murphy was left stunned with his hand over his month, while Brecel raised a smile as he jokingly applauding the Englishman - who did not win another frame in losing 4-2 to the youngster.

The 20-year-old remains on course to reach a third final in a fortnight, having lost at the last test in both the German Masters and last Sunday's Shoot Out.
Brecel told www.worldsnooker.com: 'I feel good and happy. I didn't play too well but I got my chances and I took them.
'It becomes sort of a habit to win so in every match you step into you are in a good frame of mind. I think that helps.
'Shaun was very unlucky in the fourth frame, I was shocked and happy when I saw the white go in. It was an unbelievable pot from Shaun, I didn't think he could pot the black. That was the turning point.'
Ronie O'Sullivan sneers upon learning that a maximum break is only worth £10,000 - before purposely scoring a 146 in protest
It was another controversial moment at the event, which had previously seen Ronnie O'Sullivan purposely deny himself a maximum 147 break n protest over prize money in his match against Barry Pinches.
O'Sullivan revealed his boredom at waiting for his last 32 match to get underway on Thursday, but showed why he is favourite by demolishing Jimmy Robertson 4-0 in 55 minutes at Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena.
The world No 5 told www.worldsnooker.com: 'These events leave you with a lot of time on your hands, waiting around for one match a day.
Despite being frustrated by waiting, O'Sullivan reached the last 16 by dismantling Jimmy Robertson 4-0
'Maybe they should stick an adult creche here to entertain us because I get so bored. Today I've had a haircut, been for a Chinese, been for a coffee, been to a cafe, went to the shops to buy some food, had a sleep and then played a game of snooker. I'd rather play two matches a day.
'I wasn't born with a great temperament in the way that John Higgins, Mark Selby and Neil Robertson were. We all have weaknesses and I have to work on that.
'Coping with the mental challenge is a skill and I wish I had learned that 20 years ago because I would have won a lot more titles. It was a good professional performance today, I was happy with my mindset. It started scrappy but I was able to keep my cool.'
