Loch Goil is a small sea loch in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, about an hour from Glasgow.
The Lodge was built as a private country house in 1864 by William Leiper and the summerhouse was added in 1890 as an artist's retreat.

Iain Hopkins, manager at the hotel, said: 'We've got some of the best views in Scotland and at night the constellations are breathtaking and shooting stars are a common sight.
'During the day on the loch you will see seals, porpoises, otters, a large variety of birds ranging from elder ducks to swan, oyster catchers and herons.
'Red squirrels are a common sight and deer often come down from the hills in search of food.
