Is this the moment a spooky spectre runs around Lincoln Cathedral?
A video captures a strange apparition run across the organ and the man who filmed it wants to know if it is a ghost.
Father-of-two Paul Jackson, 46, appears to catch a spirit rushing around one end of the Cathedral as he films from the other side during a roof tour of the building.
Unholy spirit? Is this the moment a spooky spectre runs around Lincoln Cathedral? A white dot (circled) moves from right to left on top of the organ
Standing on a platform up high in the gothic church the IT engineer films the well-known Willis Organ from the other side of the building.
And that was that he thought after visiting the site with his son last month.
But while editing a video of his trip to the 705-year-old Cathedral Mr Jackson suddenly noticed a fast moving spooky spot above the organ.
Tough spot: 46-year-old Paul Jackson only noticed the white dot when he was editing the video of his trip
He explained: 'Myself and my son went on a roof tour of Lincoln Cathedral on February 6 2015.
'Nearly a month later I decided to put all the footage together and suddenly noticed the following unknown object!
'It passes from right to left at the Willis Organ and then behind a red flag, and illuminates the wall,' he added.
Look out Caspar's about: The apparition moves across the Willis Organ and then behind a red flag, and illuminates the wall
Paul then posted the video to his YouTube channel and commentators have tried to guess what it might have been.
'Deeper Digger Dan' guessed: 'It's a crisp packet. Walkers would be my guess. Cheese and onion late 2015.'
User '3enjoy3' said: 'Swamp balloon? Weather gas? My first thought was an errant bird that somehow found its way in but you say they can't. One thing though, it moved fast!'
Perfect place to haunt: Paul was on a tour of the 705-year-old building, and said the video is not a hoax
Another user confirmed for Paul: 'I live in Lincoln, it wasn't me though.'
Speaking to the Lincolnshire Echo Paul said that the strange spot was not down to careful editing.
'I've got better things to do with my time than come up with a hoax,' he said.
'I personally think the best explanation is that it's a high powered torch from the tour group below the organ.
'I tend to approach things from a scientific point of view so I'm not a natural believer in ghosts. But you just can't be certain,' he added.
