And Katie Price's crusade to name and shame those responsible has seen some success after one such troll, named Arron Bevin, reportedly issued a grovelling apology on his Facebook page.
Bevin targeted Harvey, who suffers from the rare Prader-Willi syndrome, is on the autism spectrum and has limited vision, in offensive posts which deeply upset the 13-year-old's mother.

And after promising her followers that she would 'find him', Bevin swiftly apologised for his actions.
His lengthy post read: 'For the record. I never made any of these Harvey Price pictures I just posted it.
'I would like to appologise (sic) to Katie Price and family and this will never happen again. (sic)
'I am a lovely person inside and I think Harvey is a lovely person. I really do. It was very immature of myself.

'This will not happen again and I am deeply sorry.
'I agree what I posted/shared was disgusting - it will NEVER happen again.

Katie, 37, revealed she was on a mission to 'name and shame' vile trolls who have posted abusive messages and pictures aimed at her eldest son Harvey.
Taking to her Instagram page on Wednesday, the mother-of-five shared a series of images that had been edited by a variety of people on social media, each of which poked fun at the 13-year-old.
The 37-year-old was clearly upset by the sickening memes and picture-based jokes that had been shared on the social media site by users, who she gladly shamed by writing their names in her comments while also revealing them in screengrabs.
Harvey, Katie's child from a previous relationship with Dwight Yorke, suffers from a rare genetic condition called Prader-Willi syndrome, as well as autism, ADHD and blindness.

And his conditions had been openly mocked by trolls, with one image - showing Harvey walking with his mum - accompanied by the comment: 'Why does Harvey price look liked a member of the IRA?'
Along with her screengrab of the nasty comment, Katie asked: 'Does anybody know this vile person.'
Another that she reposted used a picture of herself with her five children, Harvey's face zoomed in on with the comment underneath saying, 'Katie Price just doesn't give a f*** about the lad' followed by laughing cry face emojis.
The user had written along with their shared image: 'Who makes these daft photoso man they have me crying #funny #katieprice #harveyprice.'

Katie fumed along with the cruel meme: 'So this Chloe thinks this is funny I'm on a mission to stop this happening.'
The cruel taunts appeared to mostly make fun of his disabilities and also his ethnicity.
Over the course of a couple of hours, the former glamour model called out several other trolls on her page, with her users remarking in disgust at their actions.
Several of her posts were aimed at one user in particular, as she pleaded: 'Does anybody know Arron Bevin him seems to be obsessed in mocking my son loads of things he has done yet another disgusting human being who needs to be shamed and questioned.'

She continued along with an additional screengrab of a particularly mean photo edit: 'Another couple of pictures by Arron Bevin this is from his Facebook please help name and shame these sick people.'
Katie then promised her fans 'we will find him' as she continued her angry tirade.
Meanwhile, Richard Lane, head of campaigns at disability charity Scope, has told MailOnline: 'We hope those responsible are ashamed of themselves for bullying a young disabled person.
'Nobody should be abused simply because of who they are. We wouldn't tolerate this abuse on our streets or in our schools and we shouldn't tolerate it online.
'As a society we need to get better at accepting difference.
The upsetting revelation came a week after Katie hit back at critics who took her comments about abortion out of context after an appearance on ITV's Loose Women.

The star later revealed she was upset by the backlash her comment had caused, but seemed in better spirits on Wednesday as she posted a fun selfie with her son.
The former glamour model had tweeted: 'I'm really upset people have taken out of context what I said on @loosewomen today. Harvey is my life and I am so proud of him! ❤'
Katie's fans were quick to rally around her, showering the star with compliments including 'you're an amazing mum' and 'so much respect for you'.
The star had admitted that she had not been prepared for what life would entail when she began caring for her disabled child at the age of 23.

But Katie said she is glad she did not make that decision and would now think about adopting another disabled child.
Speaking on Loose Women, she said: 'I was young when I had Harvey and I admit it: If I'd have known he was blind when I had him, as harsh as it sounds, I probably would have aborted him.'
The former glamour model said her decision would have been based on a fear of the unknown, particularly as she was so young.
But Ms Price she is glad she did not pursue that option and is pleased with the way things have turned out.
'Now it's like oh my god, no way,' she said. 'Now if they said I was going to have a child with disabilities, I would definitely keep it. I would even adopt a child with disabilities.
'Until you are in that situation, you don't know.'
Katie is the proud mother of Harvey, from her previously relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke, as well as son Junior and daughter Princess - whose father is Peter Andre, and Jett and Bunny, from her current marriage to Kieran Hayler.
