But it seems that Snow Patrol star Johnny McDaid has moved on just months after they called off their impending marriage, and with a pretty Irish former MTV reporter.
According to The Sun, the 39-year-old rocker from Northern Ireland has been rather taken by Meghann Scully - a former MTV reporter - since meeting her at a recent event.

A source told the newspaper's Dan Wootton: 'Johnny is very laid back and often found the courtship with Courteney very smothering. Now that he's single again, he just wants to have fun and enjoy himself.'
The insider added: 'He feels [he and Meghann] have a lot in common and wants to get to know her better.
'Johnny and Meghann seemed to get on straight away,' the source continued. 'It's early days but they're into each other and both seem excited to see where it leads.'

The guitarist is said to have been distracted by Meghann on the red carpet at the Oscar Wilde Awards in Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago as she was working.
Meghann - who boasts on her Twitter page that she's a blogger, videographer and reporter for Irish site Goss.ie, as well as being a social media manager and model - and Johnny were pictured at the awards event together looking cosy and are now enjoying a secret romance.
She has shown on her Instagram page that she enjoys a celebrity-influenced lifestyle, and went to Los Angeles for the recent Oscar Awards.

Her social media page is littered with pictures of her enjoying her time in Hollywood, and she has met plenty of stars doing her day job.
Johnny's new romance comes just three months after it was revealed his 18-month engagement to the Hollywood star had come to an end.
The former couple, who began dating in late 2013, called off their wedding because they could not agree on where to live, according to TMZ.

The musician wanted to move back to the UK while Courteney preferred staying in Los Angeles.
The duo, who were introduced through their mutual friend, Ed Sheeran, even tried counseling to figure out a solution, but to no avail.
Adding fuel to the fire that the split had come some time before it was unveiled in December, it was noted that the last time they had been pictured togther was August.
Courteney was said to have been 'devastated' at the time, after he moved out of her Malibu home.
